We’re pleased to announce that PhD researcher Nina Goll (formerly Nina Röhm) has published a new article!
The study investigated oxytocin’s acute effect on glucose regulation in men with type 2 diabetes, building on previous findings that intranasal oxytocin enhances β-cell responsiveness in healthy men. The results revealed that while oxytocin increased plasma oxytocin levels and reduced heart rate compared to placebo, it did not alter glucose metabolism in men with type 2 diabetes.
Nina’s project aims to assess the effects of intranasal oxytocin on glucose homeostasis in healthy women in continued work.
