We’re excited to announce that our postdoctoral researcher, Ann-Christin Kimmig, has published a new IRTG article! Our latest study examines empathy impairments in autistic individuals using the Textual Empathy Test (TET), which was initially developed to test for hormonal modulations of empathy in young women and has now been successfully adapted for use in mixed-sex clinical samples.

The findings reveal reduced cognitive and affective empathy, mediated by altered emotional reactivity.
