We’re excited to announce that our PhD researcher Elise Bücklein-Ehlers published her latest research!

The study shows that neural responses to psychosocial stress remain stable across menstrual cycle phases in women with and without PMS. However, individual differences in premenstrual symptom severity were linked to stress-related activation in the right inferior frontal and superior temporal gyri. These findings highlight the importance of considering individual symptom profiles when studying the brain and mental health across the menstrual cycle.

Thanks to Elise’s supervisors and all co-authors!
